Drama Club students at Eisenhower Intermediate School are terrific storytellers—and actors, too.
A star-studded cast joined forces with an equally effective stage crew and followed the guidance of three dedicated directors to present a highly successful production of Alice in Wonderland Jr. on Wednesday, April 9 and Thursday, April 10.
The Eisenhower gymnasium was filled with an appreciative crowd on both evenings, who applauded the sparkling performances.
The students worked under the leadership of Drama Club Advisors Kristin Sarboukh, Madison Kaminsky and Jessica Reynolds.
One highly satisfied customer in attendance was Dr. Laura Bassett, Eisenhower’s Principal.
"Musical directors Ms. Sarboukh, Ms. Kaminsky, and Ms. Reynolds did a phenomenal job of bringing out the creativity, energy, and leadership from the cast of Alice in Wonderland to cultivate an incredible, entertaining performance,” Dr. Bassett said.
Dr. Bassett is an expert in this field.
She had served as the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District's Supervisor of Arts Education from 2017 until she became Eisenhower Principal in February of 2023.
“ I was so proud to see all of our cast and crew perform with such enthusiasm to tell the story of how Alice learns to be true to herself,” Dr. Bassett stated. “Kudos to the entire team, and we appreciate the support of our parents, community members, and faculty who came out to support the cast!"
