A trip around the Crim Primary School all-purpose room provided guests with a trip around the world.
The popular Crim Heritage Night on Thursday, April 3, was enjoyed by a nice gathering of visitors to the school who were treated to an array of foods, music, dance, books, and artifacts from countries around the world.
This tasty evening of entertainment was due to the devoted efforts of a group of Crim teachers—and one former school staff member.
The organizers and coordinators were Crim Teachers Megan Smoliga (3rd Grade), Avani Morales (4th Grade), Michelle Levash (ESL), Peggy Cooney (Media Specialist), Liz Kane (Music) and Zuetania Strickland (1st Grade).
Joining in on the fun was old friend Maryellen Hardy, who is now a Grade 1 Special Services Teacher at the John F. Kennedy Primary School. She made the trip from Raritan to enjoy the trip around the world at Crim.
“I had to be here with my Irish display and foods,” she said while wearing a green shirt.
Ms. Smoliga spoke for her fellow workers when she explained the purpose of the event.
“We do this to bring out and celebrate the different cultures in the school,” Ms. Smoliga revealed.
