A large crowd was attracted to projects that 86 creative 3rd and 4th Grade students assembled at the Crim Primary School’s STEAM Expo.
Crim’s all-purpose room was packed with attentive onlookers who jammed in to view a total of 50 projects that these young scientists and artists crafted and created on the evening of Wednesday, February 26.
The person who coordinated this lively event was Tate Hoffman, a 3rd Grade Teacher at Crim. Jennifer Moy, Crim’s Art Teacher, contributed to this science fair.
Mr. Hoffman presented his positive review of the exhibits.
“The Crim STEAM Expo was a great success. We had 86 3rd and 4th Grade students participate to create 50 projects,” he reported. “The projects were creative, interesting and fun. Ms. Moy had hands-on activities for students to explore.”
Mr. Hoffman further shared what Ms. Moy and Bridgewater-Raritan High School students provided.
“She also had STEAM-related art projects that students have been working on display,’ he said. “Five members from the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Robotics team had a station where Crim students had the opportunity to drive a large remote-controlled robot that was built by the high schoolers.”
Mr. Hoffman added:
“The evening culminated with the high schoolers setting off a demonstration of kinetic energy called a “stick bomb.” Everyone had a great time.”
