BR Unified after Ewing game

An old nemesis stands in the way of a berth in the state tournament championship game for the Bridgewater-Raritan Unified Basketball Team.

Bridgewater-Raritan's Unified Basketball Team will serve as the host to the NJSIAA Group A tournament's semifinal round on Tuesday, March 11, at 3:45 p.m. Bridgewater Raritan, seeded third, will be home in this 3:45 p.m. game to a familiar foe---seventh-seeded Hunterdon Central Regional High School.

Bridgewater-Raritan is 7-2 this winter, losing both games to Hunterdon Central during the regular season. And last year in the semifinals of the state tournament, Bridgewater-Raritan was eliminated by Hunterdon Central, 31-26.

Bridgewater-Raritan High School's old gym will be the site for the state semifinal on March 11.

In the other half of the Group A state bracket, top-seeded Bloomfield High School will play ninth-seeded West Morris Central High School in the state quarterfinals on Friday, March 7. That winner will advance to the state semifinals against fifth-seeded Union City High School on Wednesday, March 12.

The semifinal winners will play in the Group A state final on Sunday, March 16, at Rutgers University.
