Lukas Disko is one of the finest scholastic boys' cross-country runners in New Jersey this fall.
The senior at Bridgewater-Raritan High School delivered proof of that claim when he finished in eighth place with a time of 15:54.48 to win a medal at the Meet of Champions state boys' cross-country race at Holmdel Park on Saturday, November 16.
The top 20 finishers received a medal in a race that had a field of 158 boy cross-country runners,
The Meet of Champions state winner was Joe Barrett, a senior at Christian Brothers Academy, who ran a time of 15:23.92. Clay Stevens, a junior at Manalapan High School, placed second with a time of 15:36.55.
