Your voice can be heard.
That was the message delivered by officials from the League of Women Voters who spoke to the senior class at Bridgewater-Raritan High School on Friday, April 4.
The Bridgewater-Raritan High School High Student Council was the sponsor of this informative event that was held in the auditorium during Health classes that day.
Michele Mammone, who is the Co-Advisor of the Student Council with Sarah Cleary, explained the session.
“The League of Women Voters put on a presentation to encourage the seniors to register to vote. The students were engaged and interested in the presentation and were encouraged to take part of the upcoming gubernatorial vote and have a voice as young voters,” Ms. Mammone said.
She added:
“The League of Women Voters collected 64 completed registration forms. Many students have already registered to vote when they went for their driver's license.”
