Dr. Tom Bourgault has a message to share.

“If you enjoy jazz, then please come out to our annual Bridgewater-Raritan High School Jazz Showcase!”

Dr. Bourgault, who is the Co-Director with Nick Mossa of the Bridgewater-Raritan High School Band program, is excited to speak about the Jazz Showcase that will be staged on Friday, February 7, in the high school’s auditorium.

The event was switched to the high school from the middles school, the original venue.

The event will begin with the High School Exhibition at 4:30 p.m.

According to Dr. Bourgault, over a dozen bands from all over New Jersey will be in attendance where they perform on our stage and receive feedback and follow-up clinics from professional musicians and educators.

Following the high school band exposition will be a performance by the highly acclaimed Earl Phillips Big Band, whose performance will include special high school guest musicians chosen from the bands performing throughout the evening.

The headline artist of the evening, the Earl Phillips Big Band, which is from the greater Philadelphia area, is scheduled to perform at 9:45 p.m.

Tickets are available at the door, cash or Venmo, and all proceeds benefit the BRHS Band program.

Dr. Bourgault added:

“Hope to see you there!"
