The swearing-in ceremony of three members and the elections of a new President and Vice President highlighted the yearly Reorganization Meeting of the Bridgewater-Raritan Regional School District Board of Education on Tuesday, January 7.
The Wade Administration Building served as the venue when A.J. Joshi and Jennifer Loughran, who were both successfully re-elected to the Board of Education in November, and newcomer Jeremy Li were sworn in by Kevin Lomski, the school district's Business Administrator and Board Secretary.
Mr. Joshi, Ms. Loughran, and Mr. Li will each serve a three-year term.
Steve Singer was elected as the President and Emily Calistri was tabbed as the Vice President for 2025.
Mr. Walker was selected as the Representative to the Somerset County Education Services Committee and Lucy Li was named the Alertante. Ms. Li was chosen as the Representative and Michael Pepe was picked as the Alternate to the New Jersey School Boards Association Assembly. Rebecca Hassouna was named the Delegate to the Somerset County School Boards Association. Ms. Loughran was named the Municipal Liaison Representative to Bridgewater Township, and Mr. Pepe was selected as the Municipal Liaison Representative to the Borough of Raritan.
The Board of Education approved the move of the start time of meetings up from 7:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
